The first edition of Manappuram Miss Asia – a pan Asia
beauty pageant –will be held on August 18 at Le Meridian, Kochi. The aim of the
event is to appreciate the genuine beauty and inherent talent of young Asian
women.
The event brings
to fore rustic beauties from coastal Asian Countries. It provides a platform
for young girls who have no formal backing to launch themselves in fashion,
film, advertising and allied glamour industries; Miss Asia displays Asia in its
entire splendor, its exciting blend of culture, tourist destinations and
natural beauty. This, along with Miss South India and Miss Queen of India, are
the only beauty pageants in the country not having a bikingi or other similar
rounds.

commence on August 12 at Beaumonde The Fern Hotel by Arun Ratna (international
fashion choreographer), Valentina Ravi ( Mrs India Asia International) and Sameer
Khan ( fashion choreographer). The final event, which will be directed by
founder and chairman of fPegasus – the event managers, consists of three
rounds. Kanika Kapur, Manappuram Miss Queen of India, will be representing
India in the pageant.
The mission of the
event is to support Ajith Ravi’s 100 life challenge: saving hundred lives by
conducting heart surgeries of deserving people, of which two lives, Sarama
